Metal

14k White gold.

Notes on white gold.  White gold is yellow gold mixed with alloys to make it stronger and white.  Most of the metal in white gold is still yellow, so the gold has a slight off white color. To achieve a more pure white, white gold is layered with rhodium, which is in the plantinum family.  Over time, the rhodium wears away allowing the off white underneath to show through.  How long this takes depends on the person and how they wear it.  When this happens, it is very easy to reapply the rhodium, bringing it back to the original whiteness.  The cost to do this is relatively inexpensive, and is part of a regular maintainance routing.

Gemstones

The center diamond is a 1.01ct lab grown princess cut diamond. It is graded an F in color (colorless) and VS1 in clarity (nothing visible to the eye, and hard to see even with magnifications.

It is also graded 'Excellent' in polish and symmetry and displays no fluorescence. It measures 5.43 x 5.41 x 3.93 mm. The diamond is graded by International Gemological Institute (IGI), and the report number is LG659464661. The can download an e-copy of this report online at

https://www.igi.org/verify-your-report/?r=LG659464661

There are 2 round brilliant cut lab grown diamonds graded F/G in color and VS in clarity. The both weigh .04ct to a total of .08ctw. They measure 2.2mm.

There are 20 tapered lab grown baguette diamonds measuring 2.25 x 1.25 x .75mm and 2.25…

The center princess cut is held in place with 4 traditional prongs. Each of the two round cut diamonds are held in a 3 prong setting. The tapered baguettes are held in an angled channel set design.

The bangle is a solid white gold bracelet with a tongue tab clasp and a figure 8 safety clasp.

Inside the bracelet, underneath the center diamond, is the letter 'G' set in the undergallery.

Custom Creations

The design was created in CAD (computer aided design) using Matrix Gold.  Matrix is a parametric based program specifically used for jewelry.  A 3D resin model was printed, and from that a mold was created for casting using a "lost wax process", named for  the fact that the resin model in burned away to create the mold.  This is a one-off piece that will never be recreated except by client request.
